Xiamen University is one among the first 10 tier 1 universities approved by the Academic Degree Office of the State Council to launch its EMBA Program. Built upon the comprehensive strength in economics and management of the University, the Center also integrates the faculty resources from the top universities in Europe and America, and the world class consulting companies. By learning from the education models of the world class business schools in educating business leaders, in combination with the management practice in China, the Center designs a program that amalgamates the strengths of China and the west, to educate business leaders with strategic vision, international scope and a strong sense of social responsibility, capable of leading top businesses in China to participate in the global competition.

The EMBA Center invites, apart from the reputed professors of Xiamen University, professors from the leading business schools and the world class consulting firms, to teach in EMBA class. Those professors are mainly from Harvard Business School, Yale University and Northwestern University in the US, INSEAD in France, IMD in Switzerland, Taiwan University, National University of Singapore, and the world class consulting firms, such as BCG.. For every class, international professors from the leading business schools and the world class consulting firms are well over 30%.

Over the 9 Years, Xiamen University has become one of the few universities in the country that has successfully developed its EMBA program in other cities in the country, and its alumni network becomes one of the largest in China. Up to now, the Center has enrolled over 90 classes, over 4000 students, and established teaching basis in cities like Xiamen, Fuzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Guiyang and Chongqing. Currently, the Center’s corporate clients include such conglomerates as the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Chongqing Municipality, China Mobile, China Aviation and Aeronautics, Sinochem, ICBC Shanghai Branch, Jiangsu Telecom, Zhejiang Telecom, China Merchants Bank, Minsheng Bank, Henan Coal and Chemical Group, Fujian Zhongyan, Xiamen International Trade Group, Xiamen C&D Group.

XMU EMBA has won high acclaim from their colleagues and from business, with its open platform, integrative and cooperative education model, its unique “EMBA+1” course design and the alumni network that covers all the major cities in the mainland, plus Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao. Since 2002, the Center has remained one of the top 5 EMBA Programs in China in terms of recruitment and education, the so-called “China’s five EMBA pillars”. In 2008, it came second in “The 5^th Strongest Market Leadership evaluation”. In 2009, XMU EMBA Program was rated by Sino- Manager as “The most satisfactory program”, according to the students’ satisfaction indexes.  In 2011, XMU EMBA Program was ranked No.1 in “National EMBA Student Satisfaction Survey” by Manager.
