Prof. Lin Boqiang Was Invited To Attend The 2017 Winter Davos Forum

From January 17 to January 20, the 47th World Economic Forum under the theme “Responsive and Responsible Leadership”, namely the Winter Davos Forum 2017 was held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. More than 2,500 political, business and academic figures from nearly 100 countries and areas participated in the forum and joined discussions about topics such as revitalizing economic growth and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony of the Forum. Prof. Lin Boqiang, the dean of XMU’s China Institute for Studies in Energy Policy and the director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Energy Economics and Energy Policy, was invited to participate in the Forum and discussed the topics of global energy and resources with the world political, business and academic leaders in the field of global energy.

During the Forum, as a member of the Davos World Economic Forum Energy Advisory Committee, Prof. Lin discussed the 2017 Davos energy security issues with other members of the Committee. He was also invited to held discussions with political, business and academic leaders on topics such as global low-carbon energy development, energy demand and supply safety, energy and climate, as a guest or a spokesperson of several sub-forums.

In addition, Prof. Lin, during the Forum, was interviewed to offer opinions on hot topics such as China's low-carbon transition, the US energy independence and China's oil security, by domestic and foreign medias such as CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, Phoenix Finance, Sina Finance, CNBC and Wall Street Journal.
